Valina Jackson has over 30 years of experience in the Human Development field.  Her many roles have included teacher, counselor, workshop facilitator, manager and chief executive.  Her keen administrative and program development skills have shaped a number of social service, employment and training, workforce development and professional image development programs for a diverse cross section of adults and young people.

Ms. Jackson currently serves as the Clinical Director of Brookview House, Inc., which provides a wide gamut of supportive services to homeless families as they forge their way toward economic self-sufficiency.  She has spearheaded a broadening of its supportive services to address the mental health needs of the families and the ensuing development of the program staff. This effort has included coordinated efforts with clinics and other agencies to provide timely services to Brookview’s clients, the addition of Clinical Interns, and expansion of its outreach services to the surrounding communities. 

Ms. Jackson also maintains a private holistic psychotherapy practice helping individuals, families, groups and organizations.

Ms. Jackson served as the Executive Director of the Boston Workforce Development Coalition, a citywide advocacy and public policy coalition of over 50 human service agencies.
